Since 2004 VT Fitzroy have been based at the Devonport dockyard in Auckland, producing outstanding results for a range of commercial and defence clients. In March 2010 Babcock International Group PLC (Babcock) and VT Group PLC (VT) announced they had agreed the terms of an acquisition by Babcock of the entire share capital of VT. This acquisition became effective on 9 July 2010 and Babcock is now the sole shareholder of VT.
As a result of this acquisition VT Fitzroy Ltd has changed its name. As of 19 July 2010 our name has become Babcock Fitzroy Ltd.
